About

Coggin’s Youth Ministry has been led by Ricky Cavitt since 1989. The vision for this ministry has always been and still is today, every one every week – to reach and disciple every student, every week who walks through our doors into a personal relationship with Christ. Our goal is for every student to feel seen, known, and loved and then help each of them build their faith on a strong foundation and prepare them to go out and reach other students.

In our youth program, we seek to:

  • Reach and evangelize students who have no relationship with God,
  • Disciple those who do have a relationship with God,
  • Lead students to worship the Lord, serve others, and fellowship with one another, and
  • Make disciples who make more disciples.

Adults and college students join us in the mission of discipling our students. They help us lead small groups where real and tough questions can be asked and where each student has a chance to engage. Our volunteer leaders help us do so much more in the lives of students than our staff alone could do.

Sunday Morning Bible Study

On Sunday mornings, youth meet in the CCC in Room 216 at 9:45 am for a brief large group gathering and then break off into Sunday School groups. In the groups, leaders have prepared engaging lessons for the students to help them grow in their faith and leadership skills.

2024-2025 Events

FCA FIELDS OF FAITH

On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Gordon Wood Stadium (3206 Milam Dr, Brownwood, TX), Fields of Faith will be held. This powerful gathering brings together students and the community for an evening of worship, testimonies, and prayer under the stadium lights. Fields of Faith is more than an event; it’s an opportunity to encounter the Gospel.

Way Summit

The W.A.Y. Summit (Who.Are.You.) is a one-day conference for 7th–12th grade teen girls and college-age young women, with moms, grandmas, aunts, older sisters, mentors, and guardians also invited to attend. This event is designed to bring young women together to discuss real-life issues and be encouraged in their faith through God’s Word. The day will include praise and worship, discussion panels, speakers, sisterhood, and fun while addressing topics such as identity and worth, social media and cultural pressures, stress and emotions, building healthy relationships, purity and boundaries, and finding freedom through forgiveness, renewal, and hope.

OCC tRIP

On December 6th, Coggin Youth is taking a trip up to Dallas/Ft. Worth to work at the Operation Christmas Child Processing Warehouse. We try to go every year and every year we have fun serving and learning more about Operation Christmas Child.
We hope that your son or daughter will join us this year!

Make sure to sign up! We are limited on how many students we can take.
