I grew up in South Texas. Upon high school graduation I came to Howard Payne University and spent the next four years wrestling, growing, and being discipled by a couple of men here. It was a formative time in my life, and I think my desire to see college students grow and be challenged in their faith started here. After graduating from Howard Payne I spent ten years in student ministry. During this time, I married Lindsay, an artistic, funny, wise, and rock solid woman who has spent these last eleven years being used by God to make me a better man, pastor, and dad.
We moved to Portland, Oregon in 2009 where I spent the next six years finishing up a Th.M. degree at Western Seminary, watching our family grow from two to five, and serving as the Worship and College Pastor for a church there. We moved back to Brownwood in 2015, feeling that the Lord was moving us here specifically to work with college students and train leaders going into ministry. I love my family, hiking, reading, and watching Netflix with my wife. I’m passionate about Jesus and seeing college students live their lives in a serious pursuit of joy and the glory of God in Christ. These can be tumultuous years, but years of incredible growth, change, and healing in Jesus. I want to help college students see that.
