The goal of our children's ministry is no different than the goal of our entire church: to make disciples by leading people to connect with God, with others, through service, to the world. We offer a place where kids can have fun learning and growing in their relationships with God. Every child has his or her own uniqueness and they need to know they are very special to the Lord.
Coggin Students Ministry seeks to glorify God by building upon the foundation of our churches mission to make disciples for the glory of God. We recognize that your kids are not ours and there is only so much we can do in the short time we are with them, so we hope to partner with parents in the spiritual formation of students. We do this through biblical teaching, small groups, worship, service, and events designed to mature students into devoted followers of Christ.
Each week, our students have the opportunity to connect with other students to study the word and discuss matters of life and faith.
On Wednesday nights we gather for worship and small groups. Our goal is to dig into God's word, which helps us know Him and His will for our lives.

The exaltation of God in all things is at the heart of what we strive for because God's glory is ultimate, not only in his own affections, but in everything created. Jesus' life, death, and resurrection has restored our relationship with God and purchased our freedom to love God, so that he is glorified in our lives. The college ministry at Coggin exits to help college-aged students understand this truth and embrace it as central to their life and joy. We do this through biblical preaching and teaching, small group ministries, service, and intentional community.
Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." We were never meant to live in isolation. We need constant encouragement, prayer, and often times, rebuke. The Men's Ministry at Coggin Ave. Baptist Church exists to call the men of our church to a higher standard. Young men, senior men, or any age in-between, we implore you to get plugged in with other men at Coggin.
The Women's ministry of Coggin Ave. Baptist Church exists to make disciples among our ladies of all ages. Our aim is to empower the women of our congregation to live in the freedom and grace that Christ has given us by offering opportunities for worship, fellowship, service, and mission. We hope to provide relevant and thought provoking events that will stir the hearts of our women toward a committed relationship with Christ.
Our Mosaic ministry seeks to foster connection with God, with others, through service, to the world with our senior adults. Our hope is to glorify God by helping our senior adults run well the course that God has set before them. We also hope to provide a vibrant atmosphere for connection and fellowship.
We exist to glorify God by making disciples through connecting with God, with others, through service, to the world. We believe that worship is the fuel for discipleship as God longs to create a people who will glorify Him for eternity. One of the ways we live out the pursuit of discipleship through connecting with God in worship is through music.
Music makes disciples. It conveys truth, but not in a way that simply transfers information. The end goal of worship through music is not simply to inform, but to conform. It is because of God's great grace that something as simplistic, yet enjoyable as music can serve to form us into the image of Christ.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered 12-step ministry where men and women are experiencing hope and more whole lives. The aim is that participants encounter biblical truth and grace-filled support for their hurts, hang-ups, and habits. CR addresses various types of abuse, alcoholism, drug abuse, anger, broken relationships, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, food related issues, and sexual addictions. These issues impact all of us to some extent. None of us have our "lives together," and we are all in desperate need for a Savior and a community to love and accept us.
We meet in the Coggin Connection Center every Thursday. There is no sign-up required and all groups are open, so there is no registration necessary. Additionally, child care is available to those in need.
6PM - Pizza Dinner (Optional)
7PM - Worship, Teaching, Testimony

Step Studies are closed groups where individuals begin to journey through the deeper work of the 12 steps. New groups start every couple of months. We encourage everyone to join us Thursday nights before starting a step study.
We believe that discipleship never terminates on itself, but that the natural result of discipleship is replication. Simply put, disciples make disciples. This, of course, is reflected in Jesus' commission to his disciples as he was about to ascend to the Father.
He Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And behold I am with you always, to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:18-20
